Clarinet Debut

This concert will be the clarinet debut for Copenhagen Phil’s solo clarinetist, Giovanni Punzi. He is graduating from the soloist class at the Royal Danish Academy of Music.

In the first half of the program, Giovanni will showcase his virtuosity and stellar musicianship with performances of the Krommer Clarinet Concerto, Mendelssohn Konzertstücke Nr. 2, op. 114, played by Giovanni and his professor, John Kruse, and Bruch’s Double Concerto for Clarinet and Viola featuring Copenhagen Phil’s Eva Katrine Dalsgaard.

The second half of the program will consist of chamber music.

In addition, during the course of the concert, a young talent from the Academy of Music will receive the ‘Udviklingsfonds’ Prize at the concert.
